Tennis

Team G Tennis starts in mid-May and ends in mid-August. The sports season also includes Bocce Ball and Golf. Athletes are able to participate in all sports and compete at State.

We have a small but dedicated group of tennis players.  New and younger athletes are welcome to begin learning and competing in the individual skills of tennis. They will need to be able to follow directions and independently swing a racket in order to hit balls over the net on a shortened court. We try to then prepare advanced athletes for short court singles play, mid court singles, full court singles, doubles and/or Unified doubles.

As with other sports, you must attend the first few practices so that the Head Coach can assess your ability and record scores.  In order to compete at the Summer Sports Classic, you must compete at the Area meet.

Equipment Requirements:

  1. Court shoes are mandatory (no Crocs or slip on sneakers)
  2. You must also have your own tennis racket. If you have questions about what size to purchase, please ask at the parent meeting or contact Head Coach, Kris Paul at kpaulpt@gmail.com .
  3. Water bottle – there are no drinking fountains nearby

Attire for tennis competition:

  1. Team G polo shirt (boys or girls) or tank top (girls)
  2. Any color shorts or tennis skirts
  3. Court shoes
